On May 11, Aram Sarukhanyan was charged in the murder of his cousin, whose body was found along the 210 on Friday.

UPDATE: Homicide detective Lieutenant Michael Rosson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Station, Crescenta Valley, confirmed that a case was filed against Aram Sarukhanyan May 11.

Sarukhanyan is being held at the Los Angeles County Jail in the medical ward where he is recovering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chin. Rosson confirmed that Sarukhanyan was not married, and that he had a gun registered in his name.

Detectives are unable to question him, pending permission from his doctors, and at this time, cannot comment on possible motives.

(A Sheriff's Department press release spells the victim's first name as "Adine," but the coroner confirms the spelling as "Adrine.")

Previously: The Los Angeles Coroner reports that Arzumanyan's autopsy has been completed, and the cause of death was "multiple gunshot wounds."

As for the suspect, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Station reports that he is stable but critical condition at Huntington Memorial Hospital, and furthermore, that he is Arzumanyan's cousin. His name will not be disclosed until he is released from the hospital.

Previously: On Sunday morning, Adrine Arzumanyan's brother, Vic Arzumanyan, confirmed that his sister worked as a social worker and program director at an adult daycare in Glendale. Arzumanyan's family declined to comment further.

Co-worker and friend Nora Karapepian, who worked with Arzumanyan for six years, explained that she was "very, very nice" and "very respected."

"Everyone loved her," she said. "We are all in shock."

Arzumanyan leaves behind a husband and a six-month old baby girl. She attended California State University Northridge where she was earning her Master's degree in psychology.

None of her co-workers could speculate as to why she was in La Crescenta on Friday evening.

"She was the best," said another co-worker, Alina Karapepian. "She was always happy."

The Los Angeles coroner is slated to complete his autopsy today, and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station continues to investigate the homicide.

Previously: The identity of the body found Friday evening along the westbound 210 has been confirmed by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office as 33-year-old Adrine Arzumanyan. She was pronounced dead at 5:25 p.m. after authorities found her at 5:18 p.m.

Previously: The La Crescenta Sheriff's Station homicide bureau is investigating the shooting of a white, adult female who was discovered on Friday afternoon. Authorities said that they believe the shooting death occurred alongside the westbound 210 at La Crescenta Avenue.

Simultaneously, deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are investigating what they believe to be the attempted suicide of an adult male on the 2 south at Mountain Street. Witnesses told authorities the male was seen with the female victim before her death. He is a suspect in the shooting, and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He's still there, as of 11 p.m., according to the sheriff's department, and his condition remains unknown.

Authorities found the body at approximately 5:18 p.m Friday evening.

Previously: Lanes of the westbound 210 at the La Crescenta Avenue off-ramp and the southbound 2 Freeway at Mountain Street were closed indefinitely Friday afternoon after a woman's body was discovered near the freeway offramp. The woman was found with gunshot wounds, said Sgt. Erick Kim of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.

Kim added that authorities are investigating a car on the southbound 2 Freeway.

KTLA has reported that two suspects have been arrested, one of them apparently injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. KTLA also reported that authorities apprehended the suspects near the southbound 2 Freeway.

Sgt. Kim did not confirm the apprehension of the two suspects, but said that two crime scenes are being investigated: the location of the body and the car on the 2 Freeway.

Both the Glendale Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are on scene.
