New Washington Boulevard School Holding Neighborhood Fair

The Peace & Justice Academy will hold an neighborhood fair and open house with school tours, food, entertainment and a cake raffle on May 26.

The Peace & Justice Academy, a private Christian grade 6-12 school is holding a neighborhood fair and open house at their new location at 2033 E. Washington Boulevard (right on the border of Pasadena and Altadena).

Nora Lee, a representative, of the school has the following details:

The Peace & Justice Academy is having a party and all our neighbors are invited.  We have recently moved into the St. James Arches complex at 2033 E. Washington Blvd and it’s time to throw open our doors and celebrate!  Plan to drop by on May 26, from 1pm to 5pm in the afternoon.  There will be tours of the school, food, entertainment, a cake raffle and local businesses and nonprofits sharing information and some surprises.

Our gold level sponsors include David Brock Realtor and Altadena Energy and Solar.  Our silver sponsors are Custom Comfort Mattress Store, Café Culture, Viva Driving School, and House of Basturma.

In addition, there will be food from Mijares, Domenico’s, Egg Roll Express and Café Culture.  Our cake raffle will feature cakes from Anna’s Cake House, Patticakes, Ellen Snortland’s Norwegian Crown Cakes, and Von’s Grocery plus some homemade ones from parents and friends of PAJA.

Meet people from such local nonprofits as Harambee Ministries, Pasadena General Assembly, Union Station, Bread for the World, California Interfaith Power & Light, Pasadena Pride, and10,000 Villages – with more to come.

Entertainment will provided by the talented musicians of the Pasadena Youth Community Orchestra, under the direction of Camille Barnes; alternative country recording artist Murry Hammond; fire eaters; an Aikido self-defense demonstration from We Defend and PAJA’s own boy band.  And that’s just the beginning.

The event is free and family friendly.  Parking is available in the lot off Washington, west of the church.  Look for the balloons and banners.  And check out PAJA on the web at www.ThePeaceAcademy.org , a fully accredited 6-12th grade school teaching youth to stand for justice, wage peace, and impact the world.
