The Muir girls basketball team led wire-to-wire in a 46-39 win over Pasadena on Friday night.

Jordan Jackson and Emoni Jackson each had 11 points to lead the Mustangs (12-6, 4-2). Tahniya Sweatt scored 10 points, while Ahsia Owens added eight. Pasadena falls to 11-7 overall and 4-3 in league play with the loss.

"We kept the pressure on them," Muir coach Gary Johnson said. "I think the key for our success was the pressure defense. We kept it on even though we went man-to-man and they got tired."

The Mustangs previously had been hampered by injury problems that led to them dropping two of three games. But they were at full strength Friday night with Sweatt and Emoni Jackson back in action.

"It's big that we got our two main girls back," Johnson said.
