Real estate is a hard sell these days, so let it be known, Angelica is in the market . She isn't greedy. If you sit down and measure your thighs, length and width, you'll know just how little will make her happy. On second thought, don't bother measuring. All she wants is your lap.
The Pasadena Humane Society rescued Angelica this summer, somewhere on Summit Avenue. She's 3 years old and loves to touch and be touched, sit quietly or play a rousing game of tickle and punch. Best of all, Angelica is a lady; she doesn't scratch, bite, smoke or curse. A music lover, she's partial to classical, with a special fondness for Bach.
Although Pasadena Humane Society is not the official shelter servicing lost, abandoned and relinquished pets in Altadena (and we'll visit that facility soon), we in Altadena and surrounding cities are most welcome to visit and adopt.
A trip to the cat room is not depressing; it's climate-controlled, the caretakers pipe in classical music, and the cages are immaculate. But a clean, warm cage is still a cage.
Angelica is looking for a home. Maybe someone with a home is looking for someone like her.
Did I mention she's soft and warm? Your lap will thank you.
(And thank you to Hillary Gatlin, PHS Community Relations Associate, for the tour and the photogenic lap. Angelica's ID number is A273759.)

Oh Karin. How dare you. You show me a cat that is the spitting image of my beloved Kitty. She was more than a pet, she was like a spiritual guide. (But aren't they all? Even the slow ones like your Albert and my Molly...) I had Kitty for 10 years exactly. She passed away ten years to the day after I found her as an abandoned, closed-eyed newborn in a Hollywood alley.
I wish I had a giant house with acres of land to take in all the animals like Angelica. You better believe I'll forward this to everyone I know.

I'd love to have her if I didn't already have one - kittens are so much fun! She's the perfect cat for a house with kids, who'll have fun playing with her. Black cats are the best, but people coming to the shelters tend to go first for the colorful ones. Is that why some of the black kittens there have pink-painted toenails? I thought that was so cute!

She is gorgeous! If I lived there, I'd take her home {though she may need to acclimatise to a touch of R&B in addition to her serve of Bach}. I'm so glad you've been able to feature her, and will keep everything crossed that Angelica finds a warm lap very soon.

I think black cats are the most beautiful. Your piece will surely find Angelica a home.

She's a feisty one, the best kind. She'll provide endless entertainment. If I didn't already have two cats (both black, too), I'd take her home in a heartbeat.
