This Weekend in Altadena: Kids Learn About Fire Safety at 5 Alarm Fire Engine Festival

1. Little Acorns Grow and 5 Alarm Fire Engine Host the 5 Alarm Fire Engine Festival 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at 536 E. Mendocino St. Visitors get a free ride on the fire truck and learn about fire safety. There will also be a bounce house, face painting and other activities. 2. Irish song and storytelling comes alive when Ken O’Malley performs 3 p.m. Sunday Oct. 6 at Coffee Gallery Backstage, 2029 N. Lake Ave.

3. Anything and everything about angels will be at the 20th Angel Festival 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Memorial Park, 222 W. Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre. The event is free.
