Thelma Reyna Named Altadena Library's Poet Laureate

The Altadena Library is pleased to announce the new Poet Laureate for the Altadena Library District will be Thelma T. Reyna.  Her official inauguration will be on Sunday, April 27 at 2 pm at the library’s annual Friends sponsored program, Poetry and Cookies. Her term will be from May 2014 through April 2016. Linda Dove, the library’s current laureate, will be there to pass the laurels. 

This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Altadena Library  and will take place in the Main Altadena Library.

Thelma T. Reyna's three books have received national honors: The Heavens Weep for Us and Other Stories (2009: Outskirts Press), Breath & Bone (poetry chapbook, 2011: Finishing Line Press, FLP), and Hearts in Common (2013: FLP).
