Coffee Gallery Show

3rd Annual LA Limerick Fest

Share your limerick skills or hear folks recite witty, funny and, at times, raunchy poetry at the 3rd Annual LA Limerick Fest from 7-10 p.m. at Altadena Ale House. There’s only room for 100 participants and sign-ups start at 6:45 p.m. at the door. Must be 21 to enter. Radio hosts from 100.3 FM, American Public Radio and KPCC will be on hand, among other special guests. A $10 donation at the door goes to “A Case for the Cure” to benefit cancer research at City of Hope. Find out more about the 2012 Limerick Fest here.

Altadena Farmers’ Market

The weekly farmers’ market happens at Loma Alta Park from 3-7 p.m. The farmers’ market has added even more vendors and is also offering seasonal items suitable for gift giving.

Winter Festival and Open House

Starting at 5:30 p.m. at Charles W. Eliot Middle School (2184 Lake Ave, Altadena) grab food from the Crepe’n Around truck, see student art, get goodies at the PTA bake sale and homemade crafts from local artisans and more at the open house. A showcase for parents starts at 4:10 p.m.

The Winter Concert starring concert and jazz bands, drumline, orchestra and the spirit team starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. See more information about the winter festival and open house here.

12/12/12 Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert

This hurricane relief concert featuring Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys and many other superstars can be watched anywhere, but click here to find out more about the show and how you can help hurricane victims through Patch's efforts.
