5 Things You Need to Know: Altadena Farmers' Market Canceled, Bike Plan Meeting

Upcoming important stories and events in Altadena

1) County officials are holding a meeting tonight at the Altadena Library at 6:30 p.m. to present the Los Angeles County Master Bike Plan.  We have had an on the site recently about bikes and cars interactions, so for those with serious interest in the subject, this meeting is for you.

2) The will not be held for the second straight month, this time because of a county permit issue.  Organizers Gloria Putnam and Steve Rudicel wrote on the market's Facebook page that they are attempting to apply for a permit for the next 6 events, and hope to be able to hold the next market in May.  Add them to the list of other , and that have had county permit problems lately.

3) For those who want to enjoy a once threatened and now permitted monthly event, the April is this Friday.

4) Pasadena-area Masonic lodges and the California Masonic Foundation have donated $49,000 to the Investment in Success Scholarship Program which will hope fund educational programs in the Pasadena Unified School District for local high school seniors who may not be able to afford college.  The ceremony for the scholarship was held last Friday at Jackson Elementary.
