You're invited to "The Waterwise Garden" workshop on November 7th, 7 p.m., at the Altadena Community Center.
According to Altadena Heritage, the workshop will concentrate on "managing street-side lawns and parkways so there is little need for sprinkler irrigation." By reducing runoff, we'll not only save water but better contain the mosquito population, as well.
The event is open to all and free because "we believe all of us should have access to this valuable information regarding water management."
