Altadena Resident Crowned Doo Dah Queen

Susann Edmonds of Altadena auditioned with other hopefuls for the zany title Sunday in Pasadena.

People of all ages and genders donned costumes and performed their hearts out for judges Sunday at the 2013 Doo Dah Queen tryouts.

Altadena’s Susann Edmonds was chosen as the 2013 Doo Dah Queen, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, by judges that included past Doo Dah Queens.

Edmonds will get to strut her stuff April 27 at the 36th Occasional Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena, also known as the twisted sister of the conventional Rose Parade.

This year's Doo Dah Parade will be grand marshaled by Altadenan Alan Zorthian of Zorthian Ranch, making it a truly local affair.
