Altadena Sheriff’s Station Gets Surprise Visit

The staff and students of Altadena’s Focus Point Academy that caters to special needs surprised the Sheriff’s Station Tuesday and gave back.

The holidays are a time when people tend to focus on giving.

While the students at Altadena’s Focus Point Academy may be considered by some to be in the position of needing help, the staff and students of the school played the charitable role of Santa Tuesday.

“The Focus Point staff thought his year they would return the favor of the Altadena community's generous giving to the students,” said an Altadena Sheriff’s Station release.

Staff and students from the special needs school surprised the Altadena Sheriff’s Station by showing up with holiday gifts for needy families to the Altadena Sheriff’s Station Food & Toy Drive.

Focus Point “offers a small, highly structured special educational program that incorporates daily supportive counseling and specially designed academic instruction for students diagnosed with emotional disturbances and specific learning disabilities,” according to the Sheriff’s Station statement.

Have you given back this holiday season? What do you think of Focus Point's visit to the Altadena Sheriff's Station?
