Christmas Tree Lane Light Set-Up Starting This Weekend, Volunteers Needed

Volunteers will be setting up the lighting display at Christmas Tree Lane every weekend from here on out until the work is complete.

The Christmas Tree Lane Association began set up on Saturday for Altadena's annual holiday celebration on Christmas Tree Lane, which will be on December 8 this year.

Volunteers will be working up and down Santa Rose Avenue setting up lights on the deodars that line that street every weekend until the work is done.

This year, the group is in particular need of volunteers willing to climb ladders and act as lead person in the set-up, according to an email from the group.  The work is done from 9 a.m. to noon and Saturdays and Sundays and refreshments are served.  Interested parties can call 626-403-1123 or email christmastreelaneassociation@gmail.com.

Vendors are also still being accepted for the December 8 Winter Arts Festival and Lighting Ceremony. Go to www.christmastreelane.net for an application.

The group also needs one a volunteer to sing the National Anthem at the festival. Call Linda Lane-White for more information at (626) 786-1231.

For anyone who may not be familiar with the lighting festival, please check out our video of the event from last year.
