Future Road Work Slated For Altadena Roads

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors recently approved a construction project to reconstruct and resurface a number of roads throughout Altadena.

Officials approved the project and adopted plans for the work on existing roadway. The project is estimated to cost between $1 million and $1.2 million. The bidding period is slated to end before 11 a.m. on December 10.

Total cost for the project is estimated at $1.724 million. Construction is expected to begin in May 2014 to be completed the following July.

Roads to be reconstructed and repaved are:
Fair Oaks Avenue – Loma Alta Drive to 545 feet north of McNally Avenue
Glenrose Avenue – Loma Alta Drive to Fair Oaks Avenue
Grandeur Avenue – Altadena Drive to 405 feet north of Altadena Drive
Morada Place – Sinaloa Avenue to Allen Avenue
Palm Street – Fair Oaks Avenue to Mareno Avenue
Pleasantridge Drive – Rubio Crest Drive to Rubio Vista Road
Rubio Crest Drive – Pleasantridge Drive to Rubio Canyon Road
Rubio Vista Road – Pleasantridge Drive to Rubio Crest Drive
Taos Road – Fair Oaks Avenue to 65 feet east of McNally Avenue

The project is reportedly exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
