Here's some maps and info to help residents plan around Sunday's event.

If you are planning on sleeping in Sunday morning or staying up in Altadena all day, the day of the Pasadena Marathon is like any other.

But if you need to go into Pasadena, find parking, see the runners and bikers, or if you are a participant, it's a whole different story.

So here is all the information you need: attached to this article is a map of the route for participants, and a map of street closures and crossing points in the marathon route.   The streets become totally open again at 2 p.m.  Before then, consult the map.

Below is some other useful information for locals on the big day tomorrow:

Parking Information for Residents and Businesses on Race Day No vehicles will be allowed to park along the entire route from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on race day. Vehicles parked anywhere on the course after 1:00 a.m. will be towed by Pasadena Police.

Parking restrictions citywide will be lifted from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on race day. During this time, overnight parking permits will NOT be required to park on city streets. However, all other parking restrictions and prohibitions will apply, including temporary tow away zones, parking near fire hydrants, and on red zones.

If you live along the route, please park on adjacent streets outside the marked course to avoid having your vehicle towed.

Freeway off-Ramp Closure on Race Day

The Seco/Mountain on and off-ramps from the 210 Foothill Freeway (northbound and southbound) will be closed from 5:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All other freeway ramps will remain open.

Rose Bowl / Arroyo Access on Race Day

The Rose Bowl loop will have limited access for general recreational users on race day. Those wishing to jog, bike or walk around the Rose Bowl can access the area via Arroyo Drive; proceed northbound on Arroyo Boulevard and turn right into lot I in front of Brookside Park.
Those wishing to visit the Brookside Golf Course & Clubhouse should exit the 210 Foothill Freeway at Arroyo/Windsor; proceed southbound on Arroyo Drive and turn right at Rose Bowl Drive.

 

BROOKSIDE GOLF COURSE/ROSE BOWL

Roads in and around the Arroyo will be closed from approximately 5:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.. For employees and patrons requiring access during this time the recommended detour route is Arroyo/Windsor 210 exit to Rose Bowl Drive where Pasadena Police will allow ITC across Rosemont for golfers requiring access to the Clubhouse Lot. The recommended freeway off-ramp is Arroyo Blvd/Windsor. The Mountain/Seco exit will be closed during these sa.m.e hours.

KIDSPACE/AQUATIC CENTER

Roads in and around the Arroyo will be closed from approximately 5:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.. For employees and patrons requiring access during this time the recommended detour route is to take Holly Street, south on Arroyo Drive, north on Arroyo Boulevard and turn right into Lot I. The recommended off-ramps are San Rafael/Linda Vista or Orange Grove from the 210 Freeway. Holly Street is accessible from either off-ramp. The Mountain/Seco exit will be closed during these same hours.

ECUMENICAL COUNCIL

Please coordinate directly with Pasadena Forward on the detour routes for the churches along the route.

PLAYHOUSE DISTRICT

There will not be any streets closures within your district. Union and Green between Los Robles and Lake will be open for thru traffic. The recommended freeway off-ramp is the Lake Avenue exit.

OLD PASADENA MANAGEMENT DISTRICT

Colorado between Marengo & St. John and Green between Orange Grove & Pasadena Avenue will be closed from approximately 5:15 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. For merchants requiring access north of Colorado during this time please use the Fair Oaks off-ramp from the 210 Freeway. For merchants requiring access south of Colorado during this time please use the Del Mar off-ramp from the 710 Freeway or the Arroyo exit from the 10 Freeway.

SOUTH LAKE BUSINESS DISTRICT

California between Hill & Hudson and Del Mar between Sierra Bonita & Wilson will be closed from approximately 5:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. During this time, access within the district will be on north/south streets such as Lake, Mentor, & Hudson. The recommended freeway off-ramp is the Lake Avenue exit.

PASEO COLORADO

Colorado between Marengo and Pasadena Avenue will be closed from approximately 5:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.. During this time, the Paseo Colorado parking structure will be accessible to motor vehicles traveling westbound on Colorado Boulevard at the Euclid entrance.

CALTECH

Due to closures on Hill, Wilson, Del Mar & California between 5:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m., anyone requiring access to the CALTECH campus should use the following detour routes: if traveling eastbound on the 210 Freeway use the Altadena/Sierra Madre off-ramp and if traveling westbound on the 210 Freeway use the Allen off-ramp.
