7 Ways to Spend Halloween Weekend Around Altadena

A spooky holiday weekend guide to local events for kids and parents alike.

Thursday to Monday

  • 1. Starting tonight until Halloween, adults can find a way to enjoy literature and some Halloween fright at the Wicked Lit performance of three literary classics in the .  Starting tonight, the theater group is performing Mark Twain's A Ghost Story, M.R.   • 2. In Old Pasadena there is the annual Old Town Haunt, which starts at 7 p.m. nightly.  The haunted house takes place in the basement of a historical Pasadena building.  There are also two matinee events for kids age 7-12. 

Friday

  • 3. The is hosting a at 3:30 p.m., which will include trick-or-treat bags, decorations, Mexican paper flowers and sugar-skull decorating.
  • 4. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. merchants on Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge will be , and there is also a costume contest.
