Memorial Day is here, and for many today is a day to pay tribute to our nation's veterans, wounded, and those who died in battle.
Here are some of the events around the area for those who wish to do so:
Altadena - There is a a civil war reenactment going on today over at Mountain View Cemetary at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service led by a local Japanese American group. Tim Rutt over at the Altadenablog has the details.

Pasadena - A wreath will be laid in honor of Vietnam veterans at Memorial Park in Pasadena at 11:45 a.m. There will be a flyover ahead of the event at 10:45 a.m.
Arcadia - At Arcadia County Park there will be the on Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Highland Park - A local veteran who served in the Korean War and received a Medal of Honor at 11 p.m. at York Boulevard and Figueroa Street.
