Native Plant Society To Discuss Orange County, Santa Ana Species

Learn about the native species of flowers in Orange County and the Santa Monica Mountains as the Native Plant Society presents two authors at the Eaton Canyon nature Center, Thursday.

Authors Bob Allen and Fred Roberts will speak about their book "Wildflowers of Orange County and the Santa Monica Mountains," Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

The authors boast their book's easy-to-understand nature with novice readers while remaining technically accurate. The book helps to identify plant families, genera and species in California. The book also covers portions of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties.

From 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., attendees will be treated to some social time and informal plant identification.

The Eaton Canyon Nature Center is located at 1750 North Altadena Drive.
