Aw, this makes me so happy! I LOVE dogs, especially little ones (mine was like a family member) and am so happy you found Buddy. I'd love to see photos and video too. Perhaps Buddy can be the Arcadia Patch mascot. ;)

Somehow, I knew you'd be excited, Sandra : ) Thanks for cheering us on!!!! I love it! You have my 100 percent sympathy and I really hope you get better soon : ( That sounds rough. Buddy will be an awesome companion. I can't wait to take him on trips with me. I should write a series of children's books, "Buddy, the Hotel Dog" about Buddy's adventures in cities around the U.S. LOL I'm going to keep his name. It's cute, fits him, goes well with "Ragus," and it's what he knows. That will probably make training a little easier. By the way, speaking of training, I'm probably going to do the "beginner" training classes at PetSmart with him. He needs to learn the basics, such as coming when he's called, heeling, etc. Any other great (and affordable) training programs that I'm unaware of? And Jessica, Buddy would make the perfect Arcadia Patch mascot LOL! You know, I should start a Pet Gallery, so people can share photos of their pets on the sight!

Natalie, we are all so happy for you and Buddy! Sorry I missed you today at the shelter, but everyone filled me in on your visit as soon as I arrived. You'll have one very special little boy! And a great big thanks to the 'Patch' for featuring our special furry ones!

Oh, I'm so loving this! A set of Buddy books would be fantastic! I don't know how well he travels, but if you have no information there, you might consider starting small with car trips. We've had dogs get car sick when I was younger and, lemme tell you, on a 180 mile trip, that's no fun - obviously even less so for the poor dog. I think it's great that you're going to take him to behavioral training. It's obvious that Buddy found a great, responsible mommy! Unfortunately, I'm not on top of training programs - haven't had a dog in probably 20 years. But PetSmart - and maybe even better, your vet - will be able to steer you in the right direction. Do you have a good vet, by the way? I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Domotor's Animal House on Foothill in Monrovia. The doctors and staff are amazing and the facility itself is great. And for pet sitting, I can recommend Two Dogs Petsitting (http://www.twodogspetsitting.com/). Jen Havens is a true professional and very involved in the community. Oh hey! She would definitely be able to help you with training recommendations. And check out her list of favorites. Some great resources there. http://www.twodogspetsitting.com/two-dogs-petsitting/links-we-like.html As Buddy's self-appointed Auntie, I expect updates! ;o)
