I always appreciate God's free water. Does anyone know if California is one of the crazy states that makes it unlawful for a person to store rainwater? Thanks.

I believe it is legal to store rainwater in California, provided you're doing it on your own property and you're using it strictly for landscape watering.

Not only is it legal to collect your rain water - but local water companies even has a rebate program a few years ago. I already had three rain barrels - then I got two more, essentially for FREE when I sumbitted a rebate claim to Lincoln Ave. Water. EVERYONE should be watering with collected rain water!
