Hobbit Hoopla in Altadena Saturday

Hobbit costumes are encouraged at the Saturday event that will include games, snacks, raffles, photo booth and Hobbit prizes.

After years of waiting, the first film in The Hobbit series is finally here. And since fans of the The Hobbit could use a chance to celebrate—remember the big shindig for Bilbo’s 111th birthday?—Hobbit Hoopla is happening Saturday in Altadena.

Teens and tweens (ages 11-17) are welcome to the party at Altadena Library’s Main Library Community Room starting at 2 p.m. that will include:

-Games
-Crafts
-Snacks
-Photo booth to show off your beard or hairy Hobbit feet
-And prizes!

Everyone who shows up gets a raffle ticket to enter him or her in a drawing to win the entire Lord of the Rings book set including The Hobbit. Plus, LOTR trivia and bingo winners could get movie tickets to see the new Hobbit movie. You already saw the midnight showing? You know you’re going to see it at least three more times in the theater if you’re a true fan.

Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

For crying out loud! You can't even spell "secede" and you want to run your own state?

And no one is commenting on any stories anymore. This is because the new format is not userRead More friendly.
