What’s Bugging Our Trees

Altadena Heritage presents forum on two insidious pests currently waging war on local trees and forests.

When it comes to new neighbors, these two names should send shivers down your spine:  The Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer and the Goldspotted Oak Borer. What to do if the killer bugs move into a tree near you?

On Wednesday, April  24, from 7:30-9pm, join Altadena Heritage and LA County Arboretum’s Frank McDonough for a Heritage of Abundance workshop.  Learn to identify signs of infestation and what steps can be taken to preserve Altadena’s natural beauty.

The workshop, free to Altadena Heritage members and non-members, will be held at the Altadena Community Center. Please RSVP: 626-993-5338 or altadenaheritage@earthlink.net. Walk-ins welcome as space permits.
