Fancy Food Truck Friday

Meredith and Michael Miller, the new owners of and Lori and Scott Webster, the owners of have teamed up to host this event, which will feature a collection of gourmet food trucks from around the county.

The organizers are already planning for it to be held on the second Friday of every month in the parking lot behind Websters at the corner of Lake Avenue and Marcheta Street.

The four trucks at the event will be provided by the Rolling Bistros , a coalition of county food truck merchants.

Here are the four trucks scheduled for the first event and some additional information from their websites:

  • The Hungry Nomad - According to the website, the truck specializes in Middle Eastern food, including various sandwiches, wraps, salads and pastries. 
  • No Reservations - According to its Facebook page, No Reservations serves "California French Fusion style wraps and gourmet cheesecakes."  The truck's Yelp reviewers mentions its wraps, garlic fries, and various sandwiches with delicious-sounding meat and cheese combinations.
  • Shrimp Pimp - The truck serves fried shrimp and chips, shrimp 'po boys, shrimp ceviche, and various other shrimp and seafood sandwiches and salads.
  • Greenz on Wheelz - This truck is heavy on the salads, and any salad you order can be also ordered as a wrap, according to the site's menu.  There are also 'melt' sandwiches with "truck-made" Parmesan spread.  The salads come with "truck-made" dressing.
