NEREA...combines elegance and strength in her powerful interpretation of traditional and modern fiddle repertoire.

Her music hails from the deeply rooted celtic traditions of Cape Breton Island, Canada, where she was raised breathing the music.

Her solo performances (which have been all over Europe and North America) are most usually accompanied by the percussion of her funky footwork, or most commonly know as: stepdancing. 

Her success as a soloist lead her to release an album in spring of 2007, named Footprints. This earned her a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Young Performer of the Year.

Whether it be with her private students, at workshops, conferences or live concerts, Nerea‚s bursting energetic passion for music is unforgettable.
