Free Summer Concert Series at Farnsworth Park Kicks Off Saturday

The Sheriff's Support Group of Altadena and the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation host the concert series, which features groups performing music in various genres.

Music under the stars is back in Altadena Saturday, July 6 as the 17th Annual Summer Concert Series at Farnsworth Park kicks off.

The free concerts begin at 7 p.m. in the Amphitheater at Farnsworth Park. Saturday’s concert features the Big Band of Downbeat Express.

July 13: Law and Disorder (Classic Rock ‘n Roll)

July 20: The Blue Breeze Band (R&B, Soul, Blues and more)

July 27: Louis van Taylor Quintet (Cool Jazz)

Aug. 3: Guitarist Brian Hughes Band (Contemporary Latin-Jazz)

Aug. 10: Upstream (Reggae, Calypso, Soca & Steel Drum Music)

Aug. 17: The Groove (Oldies but Goodies)

Aug. 24: Those Manning Bhoys & Friends (Music from Ireland)

Sept. 7: Hot August Night Starring Dean Colley in a tribute to Neil Diamond
