Real Estate: Keep the Questions Coming

In Real Estate there are no silly questions!

As a Real Estate professional it gives me great pleasure to share my knowledge with others.  Since writing my first blog post in The Patch, I have received a variety of Real Estate questions, mainly from readers within the Patch’s demographic area.  I enjoy writing my blog, but I am constantly looking for the most relevant content, which is why I look forward to the emails.

Real Estate is not just about numbers; a house is just a house until it is turned into a home.  A “house” is a piece of property that demands money and time, while a “home” is additionally an emotional investment—it tells a story within each room and between every wall.  It is my sincere belief that a “home” must be made and it is this part of my job that appeals to me the most.  I really enjoy the chance to help people fulfill their aspiration of home ownership and experience it to its full potential, so much so that I would like my blog to be a representation of the questions that I am often asked and the advice that I subsequently give.  It is for this reason that I ask you to keep the emails coming and I will try to blog in reference to your questions.

For many people, it is difficult to ask questions for fear that it might make them look foolish.  A wise person from my past once said, “there are no silly questions”, and how true a statement.  If you have a question always, always ask it, even if you have to ask more than once or to more than one person, you never know, the answer may surprise you.   Remember, there are many tragic stories behind unanswered questions.

If you knew something was wrong with you, but a doctor gave you a clean bill of health, would you look for a second opinion?  If you thought a mechanic gave you the wrong advice and told you that your car needed a major overhaul, but you felt that there was nothing wrong, would you ask for another’s opinion?  So the same emphasis should be given to your home, and if you have a concern, make sure you address it as soon as you can, not just to someone who will listen but to someone who will give you a knowledgeable and honest answer.

Every home is as unique as the individuals who live in it, as are the questions they may have and the subsequent answers.  I love this community, and if I can help someone through my blog, then I am a happy person.

Keep the questions coming.
