Gasoline Prices Continue to Drop in Los Angeles

The dropping prices follow an eight-day streak of increases.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 15th consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.21, 7.1 cents less than one week ago and 7.7 cents lower than one month ago.
  
The average price has dropped 11.5 cents over the past 15 days, including 1 cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
  
However, despite the recent decreases, the average price is 12.4 cents higher than one year ago.
  
The dropping prices follow an eight-day streak of increases that pushed the average price to its highest amount since Feb. 26, 2013.
  
The Orange County average price dropped for the 16th consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.198, 7.6 cents less than one week ago and 7.8 cents lower than one month ago.
  
The Orange County average price has dropped 12.1 cents over the past 16 days, including 1.2 cents on Tuesday.
  
Despite the recent decreases, the average price is 12.8 cents higher than one year ago.
