How to Find Your Census Tract for Saturday's Town Council Elections

If you have not been following the Altadena Town Council election race but want to get it all figured out before the polls open on Saturday, finding which census tract you live in is a good starting point.

Town Council candidates are specific to each tract in Altadena, so while there are 13 total candidates, voters in each tract will be choosing between 1 to 3 candidates (or zero, in one district).

The above map, which comes from the Altadena Town Council website allows you to find your tract - simply find your home on the map, then click on the colored shape it falls into, and the map will till you your tract number (it's the numbers that start with "CT" that pop up when you click on it).

You can then find out who is running in your tract and get candidate statements from each candidate in your district by visiting the Altadena Elections page of the Town Council website.

Editor's note: The original version of this story said there were 17 Town Council candidates.
