Solar Eclipse 2012: Watch Online Tuesday

The total solar eclipse is visible online starting at 11:30 a.m.

While Tuesday’s total solar eclipse can be seen live from Australia (where it will be Wednesday), those who are not across the world can also watch it live, beginning at 11:30 a.m. West Coast time on HuffPost Science.

“Solar eclipses occur when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, casting a shadow over the Earth. A total solar eclipse blots out the sun entirely,” according to the Huffington Post.

The eclipse will last almost two hours.
