Hope In Times Of Darkness - A Salvadorian American Experience Booksigning With Randy Jurardo Ertll

Webster's Fine Stationers is hosting a book signing with Randy Jurardo Ertll, local author, activist, and Executive Director of the nonprofit El Centro de Accion Social.
Mr. Ertll's book, Hope In Times Of Darkness - A Salvadorian American Experience, has been hailed as "an inspiration and testament to the power of an individual to overcome obstacles and make a difference" and "finds even in the most dispiriting of experiences the seeds of change and social justice". Listen as Mr. Ertll tells of his childhood in South Central Los Angeles, his brushes with gangs, and the educational bolt-hole he found to escape the almost inevitable drudgery of life on the streets. Hear about his adventures while attending school in Minnesota; Washington, D.C.; and Virginia; and learn about his non-profit ElCentro de Accion Social.

Find out more information about Randy Jurardo Ertll in this Pasadena Weekly article he wrote in November of last year: http://www.pasadenaweekly.com/cms/story/detail/the_way_up/11624/

Mr. Ertll will be here at the store on Thursday, January 17, at 6:00 pm - be sure to mark the date on your calendars, because you won't want to miss this most inspiring book signing!
