Pasadena, CA – The Ice House’s most anticipated show of the year returns when it celebrates its 52nd anniversary with a spectacular All-Star comedy show on Sunday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. Featuring Ice House favorites MICHAEL LOFTUS, FRITZ COLEMAN, ASHLEY AUSTIN MORRIS, JEN KOBER and more, all profits from the show will benefit Hillsides, a non-profit group home in Pasadena. A pre-show silent auction will be held on the patio from 5 p.m. and a live auction will be held immediately following the show, both benefiting Hillsides.
MICHAEL LOFTUS’ television appearances include Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Star Search and he was a writer for ABC’s hit series The George Lopez Show. He is a regular performer at clubs across the country, delivering his high energy, off-the-cuff comedy to sell-out crowds.
FRITZ COLEMAN worked as a comedian and disc jockey before he began work as weekend weatherman at KNBC in 1984. He still performs comedy regularly and has graced some of the city's most famous stages. The L.A. Times has described him as an "affable headliner" and "a natural raconteur."
JEN KOBER has appeared on Comics Unleashed, in Jamie Kennedy’s comedy documentary Heckler and taped a ½ hour special for MTV’s LOGO network. Jen had a recurring role as a lawyer in the HBO drama series Treme and filmed a role on Season 8 of the hit HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Recently, Jen played Lo’Quacious Jones in the MTV movie Worst. Prom. Ever.
Actress-comedian ASHLEY AUSTIN MORRIS stars as Francine Carruthers on the PBS revival of The Electric Company. She has also appeared on Big Bang Theory, Ugly Betty, and Desperate Housewives and can be seen in the film Premium Rush.
The Ice House Comedy Club is the oldest operating comedy club in America. During its 51 years, The Ice House has featured stand-up comedy with such acts as Craig Ferguson, Carlos Mencia, Sherri Shepherd, Lily Tomlin, Bob Newhart, George Lopez, Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres and many, many more.
A long-time community supporter, Ice House owner Bob Fisher has chosen Hillsides as the designated charity of The Ice House. For the past twelve years, Fisher has donated all of the profits of the Anniversary Show to Hillsides, whose mission is to create safe places for children by treating abuse, neglect and mental illness; strengthening families; providing special education; and advocating for children's rights.
Ticket prices are as follows: $25 and $50 for general admission and $100 for VIP admission, which includes access to the VIP room before the show as well as preferred seating during the show. $50 and $100 tickets will also receive a pass good for 2 admissions to a future show.
