Performers Needed for Staged Reading of A Tree Grows at Altadena Library

The theatrical debut of A Tree Grows by local author Cliff Moore will take place at the Altadena Library in the form of a staged reading. This heartwarming story tells the tale of a small town and its heroic tree during the 60’s, an era that affected so many lives. Cliff is an award winning author and poet with numerous completed feature-length screenplays to his credit so he knows how to tell a good story.

An audience discussion will follow the approximately 30 minute performance. This presentation, rated PG (for language), will take place on Saturday, February 2, at 2 p.m.  Tryouts will take place on Saturday, January 5, from 10 -12 in the Community Room of the Altadena Library.

Performers are needed to read the parts of six characters.  Also needed is a guitarist. Visual suggestions for the characters follow.  Those who read well who do not fall into these categories will also be considered. If you think you would enjoy doing this please apply.
