Caltrans Wants the Pasadena Freeway to Slow Down

They're such fascists. No mention of accidents or stats - just a decree by some idiots that we all need to change our "mindset" to what these totalitarians think it should be. The cars today are far safer at 65 mph that the skinny-tired cars were in 1940 when it opened.

I thought I'd read that traffic fatalities nationwide have been trending down for a combination of reasons, including safer vehicles and an aging population. Budget shortfalls, however, are way, way up. Although, now that I think about it, I don't know where cops would pull you over on the 110 for doing a hair-raising 47mph.
