Wiggle Waggle Walk: It's Time Again to Walk Your Paws

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's 14th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk takes place at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Rose Bowl.

Looking for a lively locale to walk your canine companion this weekend? How about joining about 2,000 other people at Pasadena's Brookside Park for the 14th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk?

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA hope to raise $300,000 this year - to date, the event has raised just less than $250,000, according to the non-profit's website. Proceeds will help provide "safe shelter, nourishing food, veterinary treatment and more, to over 12,000 animals cared for annually'' at the shelter, the website states. And please note, the walk raises money for all animals in the community -- not just dogs.

In addition to the 9 a.m. walk, in which you may choose either one or three miles around the Rose Bowl, there will be a Wiggle Waggle Walk Fair & Pet Expo featuring K9 demonstrations, dog agility shows and various canine contests. There will also be a smattering of children’s activities, and an array of vendors.

Our local Pasadena team will be there as well, taking photos and telling people about the new site.  Stop by and say 'hi' if you see us.

Online registration closes at noon Saturday.

I love events that include people's pets. I'm wondering if any canines will don costumes? See ya out there Sunday :-)

It'll be my first time going, but by looking at past photos, it's going to be a blast! I'm ready to get my Wiggle Waggle Walk on!
