Altadena Relay for Life: What to Bring June 1

The big event to raise funds and awareness for cancer research will be held at Farnsworth Park from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.

Local cancer survivors and fighters will meet at Farnsworth Park Saturday, June 1 for the 24-hour American Cancer Society Altadena Relay for Life that begins at 9 a.m.

The cancer walk will include teams from Amy’s Patio Café, Altadena Community Church and St. Mark’s Parish, among others. Teams will also host carnival games for the cause.  

For those attending and supporting, Altadena Relay for Life suggested a list of what to bring and what not to bring, as well as rules to remember:  

What to Bring:

  • canopy
  • chairs
  • water
  • jackets, sweatshirts
  • blankets
  • sleeping bags
  • camping tents
  • snacks
  • flashlights
  • toilet paper
  • hand sanitizer
  • sunscreen
  • bug spray
  • hats
  • sunglasses
  • cash
  • games
 What NOT to Bring/Do:  
  • No alcohol
  • No smoking
  • No pets
  • No dogs unless actual service dogs
  • No vehicles on grass to unload ... vehicles are allowed on the dirt infield.
