Altadena Teen Makes it to Rose Court

The Rose Court have been selected for the 2012 Rose Parade and one Altadena contender has made the cut.

The Rose Court has been selected for the 2012 Rose Parade, and Kimberly Ostiller, an Altadena resident, is one of the court members.

Ostiller, along with six other local young women, will be part of the group that participates in the parade.  One of the group will be selected to be Rose Queen, a decision that will be announced next week.

According to her Tournament of Roses biography, Ostiller attends the Flintridge Preparatory School, where she is student body president, a peer counselor, and a varsity cheerleader.  She spent three weeks last summer in a community service program in Tanzania, and wants to be an orthodontist.

Also on the Rose Court are Morgan Eliza Devaud, 18, of La Canada High School, Stephanie Grace Hynes, 18, of Maranatha High School, Cynthia Megan Louie, 17, of La Salle High School, Drew Helen Washington, 16, of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Hanan Bulto Worku, 17, of Pasadena High School and Sarah Nicole Zuno, 17, of Benjamin Franklin High School.
