Dog Rescue Group Looking for Place to Hold Event

A Southern California dog rescue group is looking for a place to hold a free spay/neuter and vaccine clinic in Altadena on June 30.

The Downtown Dog Rescue organization is looking for a place in Altadena to hold a free pet clinic.

The orgniazation had planned to hold a pet clinic at Loma Alta Park on June 30, but has since learned it will be unable to get a spot at the park that day.

The idea of the clinic is to educate the public about stray dogs and aggresive dogs and to offer "free spay/neuter surgery, vaccines and a microchip" to residents, according to event organizer Lori Wiese.  The group will take appointments of up to 40 people for those services.
