Fresh Roasted Peanuts and Rare Herbs Today at the Farmers Market

Altadena's new farmer market is open today from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Loma Alta Park.

After the July 4 hiatus, the Altadena Farmers Market at returns today from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Vendors this week include a new roasted peanut stand and a rare herb vendor.

The stand selling roasted peanuts will be appearing for the first time ever this week, according to the Altadena Farmers Market Facebook page.

The second vendor, The Growing Home, has been to the market before and sells vegetables, rare herbs for tea, cooking and medicine.

Growing Home lists their available items this week as amaranth green, sweet potato greens, new zealand spinach, radish seed pod, curry leaf, kefir lime leaf, bay leaf and lemongrass.
