Gusty Winds, Rain Expected for Weekend

While the sun may shine again Saturday, light rains and wind are on tap for the rest of Friday night and Sunday.

The National Weather Service on Friday issued a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory for Southern California.

With a cold front moving in, snow levels are expected to drop to 3,500 feet by Friday night, with two to four inches of snow possible in elevations above 4,000 feet, according to the weather service.

Altadena can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon with highs in the low 50s, and wind gusts of up to 20mph. The evening's low-temperature should be about 44 degrees.

The clouds and rain are expected to taper off Saturday, with highs reaching into the 60s, and winds dropping back to 5-10 mph. But don't ditch that umbrella just yet - Sunday should bring more wet weather, with showers hitting the region before 11 a.m. Temperatures should hover in the high 50s.
