Mountain Lion Spotting Reported in Altadena
A resident in the Chaney Trail area reported on a local newsgroup that he saw a mountain lion on Wednesday.
An Altadena resident is warning neighbors in the Chaney Trail area that he spotted a mountain lion on Wednesday.
The resident estimated the big cat was about 250 pounds, and said he was in an area near homes where deer are frequently spotted.
Lt. Duane Allen of the Altadena Sheriff's Station told Patch that no mountain lion sighting had been reported.

However, over on the Altadenablog, Tim Rutt reports that a sheriff's deputy is warning residents to keep their pets inside because of the sighting.
