One Week Until New Farmers Market Opens

The Altadena Farmers Market will begin next Wednesday May 30. Below is a list of expected vendors.

The new Altadena Farmers Market at Loma Alta Park will be starting up next Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The market manager is Joseph Shuldiner, who was an organizer of the original Altadena Urban Farmers Market and is also the director of the Los Angeles-based Institute of Domestic Technology, which hosts food-making workshops and other events around the county. The market is sponsored by the local Altadena Heritage non-profit.

The market will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. starting on that date.  It will have about 30 vendors, about 20 of which will sell fruits and vegetables and about 10 of which will sell prepared item.
