Photos: 'Cinnamon' the Bear Visits Monrovia Park

The bear is well-known to Monrovia's Canyon Park volunteers and made an appearance at the park on Sunday.

Just a few days after one bear , a bear in another foothill town has gained some notoritey.

Ranger's at Monrovia's  see one bear so often that they've given her a name.

"We think it's a female and we call her Cinnamon because of her color," wrote Canyon Park volunteer Bob Dollins in a Facebook message.

Though she appears reddish in color, Cinnamon is a California Black Bear, the only species of bear present in the San Gabriel Mountains.

The photos above were taken by Park Ranger Adam Powell as he "escorted" Cinnamon out of the park, Dollins said.
