By 10 a.m. there was a solid crowd gathered at the corner of Windsor and Ventura, enough to slow down traffic. By the time Endeavour flew over, there were hundreds and hundreds, a gathering bigger than Altadena's regular events.
The crowd was wowed by the shuttle pass-over with big shouts and lots of noise from the first moment it was spotted until it was all over with.
Afterwards the traffic lasted for 30 minutes or longer.
