If you like to have Vegas fun, you don’t have to drive all the way there. On Saturday, March 24th, 2012 from 5:00pm to 9:30pm, Mijares Mexican Restaurant in Pasadena will be turned into a lively casino in order to help Odyssey Charter School reduce their budget gap.
Enjoy an exciting evening of Casino games, food and drinks, silent and live auctions, and great raffle prizes. Among some of the items being auctioned are a Date Night Basket with movie and museum passes as well as childcare; ladies purse and luggage from Brighton Collectibles; Family Night Out Gift Basket containing movie passes and dining gift cards; Toddler Galore for the Princess Basket which includes clothing items, organic baby food delivery service, and a gift certificate to Zinnia Toy Store; as well as sporting event tickets, and much, much more. And if that were not enough to entice you, for $5 you can enter their Spring Raffle where the winner has a selection of grand prizes: $500 CASH or an Apple iPad, 2nd place prize is a Mario Kart Wii Console, and 3rd place prize is a $100 gift card to Mijares Mexican Restaurant.
A $40 guest ticket includes $200 in gambling chips, an opportunity drawing ticket, appetizers, two beverages (beer, wine, or soft drinks), and musical entertainment by a Guitar Trio. All proceeds benefit Odyssey Charter School, right here in Altadena. But leave the kids at home, this is for big kids only: all guests must be over 21 years of age. Don’t have childcare? Don’t let that stop you, complementary childcare through Kids Klub of Pasadena is available for a limited number of children grades Kindergarten through 6th; $8 for all others and younger children. No registration fee required.
