Pageant welcomes students and parents to a new year with annual Michaelmas Festival
On September 28th, the students, faculty and parents of Pasadena Waldorf School had the opportunity to enjoy the first of the year’s all school assemblies with a performance surrounding the timeless story of St. George and the Dragon. The name George means “worker on the Earth,” but he is also a man of great courage who faces conflict head-on. The theme of the pageant showcased the ability to transform one’s self in order to transform the dragon, thus defeating very human qualities such as distraction, indifference and greed. In a collaborative presentation, grades two through nine, faculty, staff, and members from the parent community transformed the beast though verse and song.
