Updated: Video Slideshow of Woman Evacuated from Eaton Canyon

The County Fire Department airlifted a female hiker from the Eaton Canyon area on Sunday evening.

A 59-year-old woman fractured her ankle at the second waterfalls in Eaton Canyon and was airlifted to Huntington Hospital, according to Lisa Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department.

The woman was brought to Huntington Hospital by the county's Air 5 rescue helicopter, which was flying low over Altadena around 6:40.

Deputy Gordon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that there had been a county air rescue at the site.
