79-Year-Old Altadena Woman Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision

Emma Ramos, of Altadena, died at a hospital, according to coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Authorities on Friday identified a 79-year-old woman who was fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision at an Altadena intersection.

The crash occurred about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday at Ventura Street and Glenrose Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Emma Ramos, of Altadena, died at a hospital, according to coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Her passenger, a 91-year-old Altadena man whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital for treatment of major injuries, the CHP reported.

According to the CHP's preliminary investigation, Ramos was southbound on Glenrose Avenue when her 1996 Toyota Corolla was hit on the driver's side by a 2009 Audi A4 that was westbound on Ventura Street.

The driver of the Audi, a 26-year-old Pasadena man, suffered a minor injury. His passenger was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
