Altadena Crime Blotter: Burglaries, Thefts, Domestic Violence

Sunday, May 12th

Between 9:00 PM and 6:30 AM (Monday) – A residential burglary occurred in the 900-blk of E. Poppyfields Dr. Loss: purse, credit cards, currency.

Monday, May 13th

Between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM – A vehicle vandalism occurred at 24Hr. Fitness, 2180 N. Lincoln Av. Suspects unknown broke the victim’s car window.

Between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM (Tuesday) – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 900-blk of Alta Pine Dr. Loss: book bag, USB cords.

Tuesday, May 14th

2:07 AM – Suspect Francisco Marin (male/33 years old) was arrested near Fair Oaks/Las Flores Drive for public intoxication

Between 10:20 AM and 11:45 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 700-blk of Crosby St. Loss: currency.

5:32 PM – Suspect Gregory Gates (male/20 years old) was arrested in the 2200 block of Lincoln Ave. for public intoxication after creating a disturbance at the location (“Super King”).

Wednesday, May 15th

9:80 AM – Deputies arrested a female (28 years old) in the 1700 block of Vistillas Road for domestic violence after her boyfriend alleged that he was assaulted by her.

Between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM – A petty theft occurred in the 300-blk of Ventura St. Loss: black/green Mongoose 18 sp. bicycle.

Thursday, May 16th

Deputies arrested Luis Veliz (male/34 years old – resident of Los Angeles) in the area of Palm/La Corona Ave., for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) after receiving a call of a suspicious person at the location.

Friday, May 17th

8:24 AM – A petty theft occurred at Ralph’s 2270 N. Lake Av. Suspect #1 described as a female, Hispanic, 20-25 years, 510, 100, brown hair, gray & black striped shirt, black pants and suspect #2 described as a male, Hispanic, 30-35 years. Suspects last seen in a silver Acura SUV driving southbound on Lake Av. Loss: approx. $60.00 in merchandise.

9:30 AM – Deputies arrested Brendan Saunders (male/22 years old) in the area of Woodbury/Fair Oaks Ave., for driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, and possession of marijuana. Deputies were alerted to the suspect after observing him driving in an unsafe manner.

10:35 AM – Deputies arrested a suspect (male/27 years old) in the 2600 block of Fair Oaks Ave. for domestic violence after his girlfriend alleged that he assaulted her.

Between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 100-blk of E. Calaveras St. Suspects unknown shattered the victim’s car window.

4:10 PM – An attempt petty theft occurred in the 220-blk of Crary St. A witness described the suspect as a male, 30 years, black baseball cap, in a newer model Ford Explorer. The suspect was seen exiting the passenger side of the suspect vehicle and reaching in the driver’s side of an unsecured park vehicle. Suspects last seen in the area of New York Dr. & Grand Oaks Av. Loss: none.

Between May 12th and May 18th there were 9 runaway juveniles reported to the Altadena Sheriff Station.
