Altadena Crime Blotter: Shooting, Assault, Burglaries

The Altadena Sheriff's Station shared the following incidents of crime that have recently happened in Altadena.

Sunday, December 16th:

Between 6:00 PM and 11:45 PM – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the area Harding Av. & Washington Blvd.

Monday, December 17th:

Between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM (Tuesday) – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 1800-blk of E. Mendocino St. Loss: red briefcase, checkbook, gold bracelet.

Wednesday, December 19th:

Between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM – A vehicle was stolen from the 1600-blk of Braeburn Rd. Vehicle Loss: black 2011 Landrover.

Between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM (Thursday) – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 700-blk of E. Pine St. Loss: black Craftsman cordless drill, yellow Makita cordless drill, black Craftsman flashlight battery.

Thursday, December 20th:

Between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 200-blk of E. Loma Alta Dr. Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the rear window. Loss: black Toshiba laptop, gold/silver jewelry.

3:34 PM and 11:00 PM – A petty theft of a package occurred in the 100-blk of E. Sacramento St. Loss: bath towels, comforter, cooker, cutlery set, ironing board, iron.

Friday, December 21st:

Between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2600-blk of Lake Av. Suspect(s) entered the residence via unknown means. Victim stated she left a house key above the door. Loss: silver/white Apple MacBook.

7:15 PM – A petty theft occurred at Rite Aid, 735 E. Altadena Dr. Loss: glasses. ***Suspect was arrested***

Saturday, December 22nd:

Between 12:30 AM and 2:00 AM – An attempt vehicle theft occurred at 24Hr. Fitness, 2180 N. Lincoln Av.

2:45 AM – A shooting at an inhabited dwelling occurred in the 2200-blk of Casitas Av. ***No injuries***

3:40 AM – An assault with a deadly weapon (gun) occurred in the area of Harriet St. & Lincoln Av. The victim, an off-duty deputy, was driving his brother to the airport for an early morning flight. A dark colored Lexus pulled up behind the victim’s vehicle and started shooting. Three bullets struck the vehicle – no injuries reported. Suspect vehicle (possibly a dark color Lexus) was last seen westbound on Harriet St. Read more here.

Between 2:30 PM and 9:30 PM – A vehicle vandalism occurred at 24Hr. Fitness, 2180 N. Lincoln Av.

6:52 PM – A vehicle was stolen from the 100-blk of W. Mariposa St. Loss: gray/red 2008 Yamaha Quad runner.
