Altadena Sheriff Station Warns of Distraction Burglars Posing as Edison Workers

The Altadena Sheriff Station alerted residents about a recent distraction burglary.

Authorities with the Altadena Sheriff Station say that burglars posing as Edison employees are operating in the area, according to a Sheriff advisory.

According to the alert, the residential burglary occurred Aug. 12 in the 3100 block of Ewing Avenue. Two individuals dressed as Edison employees distracted their victim whiled a third person entered the house.

One of the suspects identified himself as an employee with Southern California Edison checking on power outages in the area. The suspects were described as Hispanic or Middle Eastern males, about 30 years of age, wearing yard hats and yellow shirts.

The victim spotted the third suspect exiting the bedroom and fleeing in an older model white minivan.
