Body Found in Suitcase in Nearby Glorietta Park
Glendale police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said the cause of death of 21-year-old Victor Moreno was not obvious.
A body found in a suitcase in the Verdugo wash Monday was identified today as that of a 21-year-old San Pedro man.
Victor Moreno was identified by the coroner's office, but a spokesman said the cause of death was deferred, pending the results of toxicology tests.
Glendale police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said the cause of death was not obvious, and he suspected Moreno was killed elsewhere and dumped in the wash.

The clothed, intact body was found in Glorietta Park by county public works employees who spotted the suitcase, with some plastic sheeting sticking out of it, about 9 a.m. Monday.
